I am a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Child Studies. I received my Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. I am currently working on coursework to obtain a certificate in Instructional Leadership. I was born in and raised in Campbell County, Virginia where I taught five years before getting married and moving to New Jersey. While in New Jersey I taught Computer Technology, Middle School Language Arts, Second grade intervention, and served as the Technology Coordinator for the Middle School. We moved to Pennsylvania where I taught third grade for 3 years. In 2008, we moved to MD, and I taught 4th grade in PGCPS before coming to Imagine Andrews as a second grade teacher. In Spring 2012, I was nominated and selected Imagine Andrews Teacher of the Year. My husband and I reside in Upper Marlboro with our 3 ½ year old daughter, Marlee. In my spare time, I like to shop, dine out, travel, and spend time with my family.
