Week of December 21st:

Happy Holidays!!!!

Polar Express PJ Party is tomorrow.  Come dressed in your favorite pajamas.  We will be having fun participating in activities centered around the book The Polar Express.  The students will watch the movie and enjoy snacks in the afternoon.  Please make sure that you have signed the permission slip so that your child can participate in tomorrow's festivities.  If you have not turned in or have lost the permission slip then a handwritten note giving your child permission to participate will work.

Mrs. Hull's homeroom has two parent volunteers to bring in popcorn and drinks.  Is there another parent from my homeroom that would like to donate a treat to be enjoyed during our movie?  If so then please email me.

Winter Break begins Wednesday, December 23rd.  We hope everyone has a safe and happy break.

Reminder: Character Book Reports are due January 5th.  Please make sure you have all of the directions.  If you have misplaced something then please let me know tomorrow so you will have it over the break.

Please note that only parents who are fingerprinted are allowed to volunteer in the classroom.

Wednesday, December 23rd: School Closed for Winter Break

We are beginning our Box Top Snow Ball Fight when we return from winter break.  Each classroom door will be decorated with a winter theme.  Turning in Box Tops will earn our classroom snowballs.  5 Box Tops=1 snowball, 10 Box Tops=3 snowballs, 25 Box Tops=8 snowballs.  At the end of the month of January we can throw our snowballs at other classrooms.  In February we will begin shoveling the Box Tops off of our door.  For every 20 Box Tops we earn then we can shovel 1 snowball.  The classroom with the least amount of snowballs will win!!  Start collecting those Box Tops now!!!   We want to earn money for our school and we want one of the 2nd grade classes to win!!!
